Our main specialization lies in the production of inclined and vertical stairlift platforms and stair chairs. These products are designed to enable safe and comfortable movement on stairs for people with limited mobility. We further expand our portfolio with pool lifts, aircraft stairs, and other aids, carefully selected from renowned international manufacturers.

Our aim is to offer comprehensive solutions for barrier-free access, which is why we also provide consulting in this area. We work with external experts and immobile citizens to better understand the needs of our customers and offer them optimal solutions.

We are proud that our products are used worldwide. Approximately 85% of our production is exported, mainly to Western European countries, but also to Slovakia, where we cooperate with the company Ares, spol. s r.o.

Ing. Antonín Machala – Founder and Visionary
Ing. Antonín Machala, originally an aircraft designer at LET Kunovice, where he contributed to the development of the L-610 aircraft, took a bold step in 1992 by founding his own company, Altech. He started modestly, in a small garage, with the initial goal of applying his expertise in the aerospace industry. However, fate had other plans for him. Over time, his interest and focus shifted towards producing solutions for barrier-free access.
Thanks to his innovative approach and unwavering determination, ALTECH is now one of the leading European manufacturers of stair lifts and a significant global player in the market for wheelchair platforms. The company, which started with just a few employees, today employs more than 400 people, 40 of whom are part of a top-tier team of engineers. Ing. Antonín Machala’s achievements have not gone unnoticed – in 2019, he received the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Although his business took a different direction, aviation remained his lifelong passion. This is evidenced by the founding of the company Aeromec, which specializes in pilot training and aircraft rental.
