The history of ALTECH dates back to 1992 when Mr. Antonín Machala, together with his wife, founded the company ALTECH.

Initially, the company focused on selling stair climbers and other pre-made aids, but in 1994, the company began manufacturing its own platform lifts for wheelchair users.

Since then, it has become a significant global supplier of barrier-free solutions for wheelchair users worldwide, delivering more than 50,000 inclined stair lifts, 20,000 chair stair lifts, and 10,000 vertical platform lifts.

This could result in not only high repair costs but, more importantly, could jeopardize the safety of users.

Furthermore, it is important to emphasize that even if the platform is physically moved and mounted, technical adjustments and calibration of the platform must also be carried out, which requires expertise and equipment.

The main requirement is access to electricity, as the devices usually require a connection to a standard 230V outlet.
