The SP-OMEGA platform for individuals with limited mobility can be used on the vast majority of staircase types—whether they are straight, spiral, or other designs. The SP-OMEGA platform is suitable for use on any of them with inclines of up to 60°. Due to the placement of the motor and gearbox at the top stop, the body of the platform is very narrow, providing ample space on the platform floor.

The platform offers a load capacity of up to 300 kg, making it suitable for transporting not only manual but also electric wheelchairs. We can manufacture the size of the stair platform according to each customer’s needs, ensuring that it can comfortably accommodate even larger electric wheelchairs; the only limitation is the width of the staircase. The platform can have multiple stops, allowing it to be used in multi-story buildings.

When the platform is not in use, its barriers and floor can be folded, allowing it to take up minimal space on the staircase and not obstruct regular traffic. Folding and unfolding the platform is done by pressing the appropriate button on the remote control. The folding process is fully automated and requires no further action from the operator.

The SP-OMEGA platform for wheelchair users is designed to operate without the need for recharging, making it suitable for environments where increased movement of individuals with limited mobility is expected. This includes locations such as schools, government offices, spas, cultural centers, and even sports and recreational facilities like swimming pools and sports halls. The platform can be manufactured in versions for both indoor and outdoor use.

However, the SP-OMEGA platform can be used not only by wheelchair users but also by mothers with strollers or individuals with mobility difficulties who have trouble navigating stairs.

Safety Comes First

The SP-OMEGA barrier-free platform provides safe and independent use for individuals with limited mobility. The platform meets all legal requirements and regulations for barrier-free platforms. Each of our platforms is equipped with a range of safety sensors and mechanisms that ensure safe operation.

Once the user in the wheelchair is on the platform, the ramps automatically lift, preventing any unintended departure from the platform. To enhance the feeling of safety, the platform is also equipped with protective barriers that automatically lower before the ride begins and raise again when stopped at a station.

The beginning and end of the ride are designed to be as smooth and pleasant as possible. For immediate stopping in case of an emergency, a safety STOP button is available. Safety features such as safety edges and a sensitive floor instantly halt the platform’s movement upon contact with an obstacle, ensuring maximum protection for the user and those around them.
